WHAT IS VALLOCYCLE?

Formed through a collaborative partnership between the City and University of Montevallo, the ValloCycle Program exists as a city wide initiative to enhance overall community walkability and individual citizen engagement with a lifestyle of sustainable, alternative transportation. The ValloCycle Program's primary means of achieving these goals is through its day-to-day operation of the ValloCycle Bike-Share Program, the first county-wide bicycle sharing program in the state of Alabama to offer low-cost bicycle rentals to all the members of its community.

Bike Share
Most people think of ValloCycle as a place to rent a bicycle. We offer bike rentals for $20 per term (three terms per year) in Montevallo, AL.
We are Alabama's oldest city-wide bike share and have been proudly operating since 2012.

Group Rides
We offer at least one group ride per month. Our popular Glow-Ride takes us through the less traveled neighborhoods of Montevallo. Held monthly every second Wednesday. We leave no riders behind, as this is a casual social ride.
Location: Main Street side of UMOM
Meet: 6:30pm
Ride: 7:00pm
Duration: 45 minutes (approximately)
